This is a gallery of character designs from the Weekly IRC RPG Club on the IRC network mIRC-X.
Season 1 / Season 2
The first season of the WIRCRPG was somewhat of a success. The campaign was written to last above and beyond epic levels, but unfortunately we only made it to 4th level before falling out of habit from the game. The game featured Elzie, Chewy, MTW, Meeks, and Meeks' brother Jal as PCs. Since the game is no longer in progress and I am currently working on a new campaign I'll spoil a bit of what I was working on with the story line and what was happening to the characters. Just a quick background of the campaign... each character received 2 magical items and a potion at character creation. Unknown to them at the time those items were corrupted and after time they started to cause the characters to gain bizarre characteristics of a particular type of creature from the Monster Manual.

This is Seraphina, the human paladin that I ran as an NPC for the game. I was attempting to tell the story and advance the game through her rather then queues from the DM. I'm still not sure if I did an adequate job or not, oh well it was my first real job DMing. She had received Celestial Armor, and a ring of water walking. The Celestial Armor slowly gave her characteristics of a Celestial (go figure, heh) and the ring had a 25% chance of temporarily turning her into a mermaid when she tried to use it.

Here was Elzie's character, Eilahna. Eilahna was a Half-Elven Ranger and Elzie did an amazing job role playing her. Eilahna's magic items were Arrows of Beast Slaying and a ring of animal friendship. The Arrows slowly gave her features like that of a magical beast (which was her favored enemy). The ring had a 25% chance of turning her into an animal like the one she attempted to befriend. When she finally got her animal companion, I surprised her with a cute cuddly yoshi to hang out with. Great times ^_^

This is a gnome bard named Dimble, who was role played by Meekers. He was role played as a mischievous bard that was always thinking of ways to take advantage of the situation. The items he received was a mithril shirt and a ring of x-ray vision. The mithril shirt had a 25% chance of making him dizzy when he used a skill that has an armor check penalty. The ring slowly turned him into an undead skeleton.
Tamil, a human monk, was Meekers' brother Jal's character. This was Jal's first time role playing and he did a really good job for his first game. Tamil received a ring of chameleon power and a periapt of wound closure. The ring slowly turned him into a shape shifter as he used it, and the periapt had a 25% chance of turning him ethereal when he dropped below 0 hit points.

Here's Chewbaccus' character Gorbon, the dwarven rogue of the group. The items he got were a ring of feather falling and a lens of detection. The ring caused him to slowly gain more bird-like features and the lens had a 25% chance of making his vision blurry for a short amount of time. Gorbon was the only character who actually experienced the effects of the 25% chance item.

Lastly is Delmorin, Mike the Warrior's human sorcerer. Mike joined the game late in the campaign and was really only part of the game for a few play sessions. He had gloves of dexterity +5 and a ring of sustenance. The gloves slowly turned him into an air elemental while the ring had a 25% chance of having insomnia each night. While his character has experienced this before in his back story before joining the game, he didn't actually experience the insomnia within the game.
